I feel like there is a powerful spiritual message in here. Whether it is we, the sheep, giving in too easily to evil, or the vicious coyotes representing the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
Maybe the coyotes represent the temptations to sin. Jesus said to watch and pray so that we won't fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
